Patel Pretal

来自伦敦的人声长音乐队。他们使用老旧设备、磁带和电脑，用以处理、扭曲现场即兴的人声。美学上，他们受到Basic Channel、威廉·巴辛斯基以及安德烈·塔科夫斯基的电影的影响。多米尼克（多多）独奏的时候，以同样的方式工作，用曼托林、磬和磁带作为声源，常常完全以原声设备演奏。最近的录音和活动可以在这里看到：www.myspace.com/patelpretal

Patel Pretal

Patel Pretal are a vocal drone group from London, UK. They use old equipment, tapes and computers to process and distort live vocal improvisations; aesthetically influenced by Basic Channel, William Basinski and films by Andrei Tarkovsky. Dominik (Duo Duo), playing solo, works in a similar way, though uses mandolin, singing bowls and tapes as his sound sources and often plays with a purely acoustic setup. 男，1983年出生，青岛人。
萨克斯、人声、诗歌。
2001年组建独立摇滚乐队“斜韵”，后来兼任“黄粱公主”乐队键盘手。2007年和冯昊组建“核桃室”。
个人创作涉及诗歌、即兴音乐、行为艺术、短片、戏剧……

Male, born in Qingdao in 1983, relocated in Beijing in 2007.
Saxophone player, poet, voice experimenter.
He had found indie/experimental rock band “the Tipsy Verse” in 2001. Afterwards he held a concurrent post as the keyboard player in “Pipedream Princess”. found “Walnut Room” with Feng Hao in 2007.

718作为代号已有6年的时间。在这6年里作为音乐创作的代号718创作了包括民谣、后摇滚、电子原音音乐、流行音乐、聪明舞曲、世界音乐、氛围音乐、声音艺术、噪音音乐等各类型的不同音乐并发行了多张唱片与合辑；在商业方面718制作了多部电影、广告片、纪录片、文献片、动画与短片的配乐；作为顾问718为北京奥林匹克森林公园及很多音乐家、录音室与多媒体工作室提供过技术支持与咨询；作为多媒体艺术家与装置艺术家718创作了多个多媒体与互动的作品并参加国内外等艺术展览；作为现场表演者718参加了巴塞罗那“Sonar”等音乐节的演出；作为摄影师718只拍摄黑白胶片并自己冲洗；作为收集者718收集了一堆石头、贝壳、乐器、信息、书与废旧物品；作为养猫者718有两只。

Sun Lei, musician, composer, multimedia technician expert, synthesizer designer，instrument maker, film artist, sound artist. One of the important members of China’s new music scene. Born in Urumqi, Xinjiang in 1982. B.A. in Electronic Communication. Now lives and works in Beijing.
Works: Nowise Assault, An and 10 unreleased albums, several film scores and sound design works.
Had performed at Dazhanzi International Art Festival, Get It Louder 05, Punkt 05, Oslo World Music Festival…

水陆观音：

一个有关声音、音乐、艺术和环境的系列交流活动。

2005年6月创办，每周二晚上免费入场。一个向实验/即兴音乐家、声音艺术家开放的交流平台。包容来自不同背景的表演者，鼓励自由即兴和实验探索，力图促成更多的合作，激发表演者和观众的想象力，并混淆他们之间的区别。它延续观音唱片的宗旨–追求精神性的实验音乐和影像，追求表演和环境的沟通统一，探讨、促进新音乐的生态环境。

since June of 2005, Waterland Kwanyin is the first open plate for experimental, improvised musicians and sound artists who live or transiently in Beijing. as the idea from KwanYin Records, it offers opportunities for artists from different background who now (or in the future) be into free music, e.g. abstract and spiritual sound, field recording mix, noise, electroacoustic, sonic explore, as well visual art, body performance, etc.
