李耀诚
香港手鼓演奏家李耀诚，早年习现代舞并自学钢琴，90年因偶然机会开始自学手鼓（单面手鼓）。
自87年开始李氏先后推出十多个个人音乐剧场作品，近期作品包括在德国举行的“Ghost Festival”（1999），在日本举行的“East Dragon Festival”（2000）以及在美国纽约举行的 ‘John Lee Solo Frame Drum Concert’（2003）。96年推出钢琴CD 《悠先生与媚小姐》，2001年推出个人手鼓CD《Holodrum》。因李氏独特的音乐和舞蹈背景，他95年前的创作大多是音乐剧场作品，音乐和和剧场元素大致均等；95年后因被手鼓乐器（Frame drum）的独特音色个性所吸引及受音乐家Glen Velez音乐的影响，他对音乐的兴趣戏剧性地从剧场音乐转向研习世界各地不同的手鼓。
在2002年，李氏考获亚洲文化协会奖学金，前往美国纽约跟隨多位音乐大师如Glen Velez和Ed Herbst，进修手鼓和喉唱技巧。
近年李氏专注于研究、教授和表演手鼓，研究范围包括：世界各地的手鼓如中东、印度和中亚地区的手鼓作曲和表演技巧等。李氏在各地不同特色的手鼓音乐的熏陶下，加上他本人的音乐背景和各种现代音乐的影响，发展出一种既专业又个人化的打击乐。

John Lee
John Lee is a self-taught percussionist from Hong Kong. He studied modern dance, classical piano in his early years and started to teach himself frame drum since 1990.
He has been regularly giving musical theatre productions since 1987, recent works included ‘Ghost Festival’ in Germany (1999), ‘East Dragon Festival’ in Japan (2000) and ‘Frame Drum Solo Concert in New York (2003). He also released his solo piano CD “The Piano Story” in 1996 and hand drumming CD “Holodrum” in 2001. Because of his unique music and dance background, his music was always mixed with movement and theatrical ideas before 1995, however, after 1995 his interest dramatically turned to different kinds of hand drums because of the sound and personality of these instruments.
In 2002, he went to New York and North America under Asian Cultural Council Scholarship to further his frame drum and throat singing technique. He studied with teachers like Glen Velez and Ed Herbsd, etc.
For the last few years, he even gave up theatre and only focus on teaching and performing frame drum. Combined different hand drumming techniques and compositional ideas all over the world like India, the Middle East, Central Asia etc., he developed a mixture style of drumming that’s highly professional and personal.

Bruce Gremo

最初，Bruce Gremo是作为古典音乐的演奏家在林肯音乐中心等场所演出。曾经作为独奏音乐家与奥地利管弦乐队和苏格兰的BBC交响乐团同台演出，也参加了Knitting
Factory爵士音乐节和Charlie
Parker爵士音乐节。从1990年到2000年，他频繁地与中国作曲家谭盾在即兴表演、编曲、合成器编程、独奏以及管弦乐指挥等领域进行合作。Bruce
Gremo作为合成器编程、EWI独奏音乐家与曾执导昆曲名作《牡丹亭》的美国导演Peter Sellars进行了长达14个月的巡回演出。

目前，他刚从纽约迁居到北京。

Bruce Gremo

Bruce Gremo was recipient of the 2005 Interactive Technology Artist in Residence Award at Harvestworks, NYC. He was a 2004 Fellow in the Creative Artist Exchange program, a Japan/US Friendship Commission and NEA sponsored award that enables Fellows to study and work in Japan for six months. He was Composer in Residence at Civitella Rainieri Foundation in Italy in May and June of 2003. A recipient of a NYFA Fellowship in Music Composition (2002), he has been a featured composer at New York venues such as Experimental Intermedia, Roulette, Harvestworks and Lotus Studios. He has been Artist in Residence at Steim in Amsterdam (9/2002), Engine 27 in NYC (5-6/02), and Harvest Works, NYC (2000). His computer music has been performed around the world. As a flutist, he specializes in extended technique and improvisational formats using the silver flute, the Japanese Shakuhachi, the Chinese Xun and others. Originally out of the classical music world, he has been a soloist at the Lincoln Center Festival with the Lincoln Center Chamber Music Society, Wien Modern in Vienna as soloist with the Austrian Radio Orchestra, the BBC Proms Festival at the Royal Albert Hall in London as soloist with the Scottish BBC Symphony Orchestra, the Knitting Factory Jazz Festival under Ornette Coleman’s direction where he was as soloist in “Skies of America,” the Charlie Parker Jazz Festival as soloist with Butch Morris. From 1990 up to 2000, he frequently collaborated with Chinese composer Tan Dun as improviser, music director, synthesizer programmer, soloist and orchestra conductor. He toured over 14 months as synthesizer programmer and EWI soloist with the Peter Sellars production of the Chinese Kun Qu classic, The Peony Pavilion. He now resides in Beijing having recently relocated from New York.

since June of 2005, Waterland Kwanyin is the first open plate for experimental, improvised musicians and sound artists who live or transiently in Beijing. as the idea from KwanYin Records, it offers opportunities for artists from different background who now (or in the future) be into free music, e.g. abstract and spiritual sound, field recording mix, noise, electroacoustic, sonic explore, as well visual art, body performance, etc.
