Jeff Rehnlund

Jeff Rehnlund is an experimental musician from North Carolina where he plays in the noise troupe Boyzone. He releases collage pieces, noise, and field recordings under his own name — the latest: “Our Thin Mercy of Error” released by Hymns in April 2007. He works heavily with tapes, malfunctioning electronic devices, field sounds, kitchenware, fluids, analog alchemy, telephones, mirrors, memory, and recently, sounds found among and between religious substances.

Jeff Rehnlund是来自北加州的实验音乐家，是噪音表演团体Boyzone的成员，另外Jeff也以个人名义制作拼贴声音、噪音以及田野录音，於2007年4月份时在厂牌Hymns之下发行了最新一张专辑：Our Thin Mercy of Error。他的创作使用了卡带故障的电子器材、田野的声音、厨具、液体、类比技术、电话、镜子、记忆，以及最近使用的在宗教中发现的声音。

水陆观音：

一个有关声音、音乐、艺术和环境的系列交流活动。

每周二晚上，免费入场，室内演出，室外赋闲。

2005年6月创办，一个向实验/即兴音乐家、艺术家开放的交流平台。包容来自不同背景的表演者，鼓励自由即兴和实验探索，力图促成更多的合作，激发表演者和观众的想象力，并混淆他们之间的区别。它延续观音唱片的宗旨–追求精神性的实验音乐和影像，追求表演和环境的沟通统一，探讨、促进新音乐的生态环境。

除了常规演出之外，还提供workshop、影像放映和艺术讲座。白糖罐唱片店（http://www.sugarjar.cn/main/index.html）现场办公。

Kwanyin is name of a popular buddha in China. kwan(guan1) means view, observe, watch, etc. yin(yin1) means music, sound, sonic existence, information, etc.

since June of 2005, Waterland Kwanyin is the first open plate for experimental, improvised musicians/artists who live or transiently in Beijing. as the idea from KwanYin Records, it offers opportunities for artists from different background who now (or in the future) be into free music, e.g. abstract and spiritual sound, field recording mix, noise, electroacoustic, as well visual art, body performance, etc.
