EMIL DE WAAL is the country’s top drummer, having performed with and programmed, arranged and lead for anyone who’s anyone in Denmark, and many others from outside of the country. All told, he has appeared on more than 150 albums, and earned a Danish Jazz Grammy nomination. His latest project, Emil de Waal +, employs the computer as band member in a new and fresh way. Influential music magazine the Wire says that the group’s album features “a colourful parade of styles and sounds… It’s unclassifiable but no less fun for that.”

A familiar name in Danish music, Maria Kohnke has previously contributed to a great variety of projects, including instrumental and vocal backing appearances with some of Denmark’s leading rock bands. Yet the reviews indicate that her accomplished solo debut took local critics completely by surprise.

每周二晚上，免费入场，室内演出，室外赋闲。

Kwanyin is name of a popular buddha in China. kwan(guan1) means view, observe, watch, etc. yin(yin1) means music, sound, sonic existence, information, etc.

since June of 2005, Waterland Kwanyin is the first open plate for experimental, improvised musicians/artists who live or transiently in Beijing. as the idea from KwanYin Records, it offers opportunities for artists from different background who now (or in the future) be into free music, e.g. abstract and spiritual sound, field recording mix, noise, electroacoustic, as well visual art, body performance, etc.
