刚读完吴燕莛译的艾柯的《误读》(新星出版社2006年6月第一版)。只发现两处错别字,3处翻译硬伤。算少的,可以写表扬信了。
现在对照台湾张定绮译的同一本书(皇冠2001年9月第一版)再读一遍。
第一篇吴译《乃莉塔》,张译《乃丽泰》,两人好象都是英语背景,吴是上外英语本科、研究生,加拿大不列颠哥伦比亚大学新闻硕士,张是台大中文系研究所硕士,美国哥伦比亚大学东亚研究所、西雅图华盛顿大学比较文学研究所……至少吴说了是从英文版译过来的。这里面就有一个注释的问题,吴用英文版的granita来解释题目,所以根本没人能明白为什么是“乃”而不是“格莉塔”什么的,张用意大利版的nonita来解释,就明白了。
后边还没有看完,不过从中文看,张的节奏感似乎更好一点,有些复杂从句没有生硬断开,却用了复杂的中文表达方法,显然中文修辞水平要略高一筹。当然吴也不坏,至少达到了很好的新闻水平,文学方面如果不是译这种有修辞癖的作家,大约还是匹敌的。
硬伤是很多中文译者共同的问题:中文太差。虽说法语什么的语法复杂,从句像迷宫,但中文也有语法的,不管怎么翻译,变成中文之后,语法逻辑还是要的。前半句有“若是”,后半句却丢了“那么”,这种错误和外语水平没有关系,只能说对中文缺少感觉。前两天出版社的朋友来,说起博士们的翻译:动不动就只剩主语不见宾语了。
我外语不行,只说中文。以前有次说到刘晖的翻译,被大家批评,属于多嘴。现在只说中文。
中国出版业也快要烂到头了,赶紧烂掉吧,否则怎么可能有希望。
艾柯的《悠游小说林》翻译稿费才1500块(注意下面的留言,是4000)。卡森·麦卡勒斯的畅销书《心是孤独的猎手》翻译稿费也不过千字60(据说之前的《伤心咖啡馆之歌》也这个价)。出版业是政府垄断的,所以可以有少数人工作养活多数人的体制,所以可以靠卖书号而不是做好书来发财,所以要剥削作者译者来降低成本,所以无能还可以享福……指望这样的稿费能让人安心翻译吗?不可能。翻译只能是温饱之后的业余爱好。
要么就是大学研究生屈从于导师意志而做的廉价劳动——出版社以为大学教授有水平,可是人家不过挂个名字,翻译全由学生完成。这种事已经普及了。
抓紧时间学外语吧朋友们,求人不如求己。
本来要和沈静做一个新乐队叫做“素”,因为我们俩都吃素,英文名字都想好了叫Suuuu(有抄袭kuaaa或者kuuua的灵感嫌疑,不过我们已经有一个录音了呵呵)。不过好象和铁观音也不是很不同的风格,所以决定还是铁观音,素就当我们的现场录音唱片标题了吧。以后还可以有素2素3什么的。

香港实验音乐创作人李劲松(Dickson Dee)拥有Li Chin Sung、Dj Dee、PNF等多个创作代号。创作风格十分多样化,音乐糅合了工业噪音、实验电子、Avant Garde、拼贴、舞曲等多种手法。
Dickson Dee 1969年出生于福建莆田。幼年移居香港。90年代初,组成乐队PNF,并参与工业噪音Illuminated 666的创作,从此开始了他的音乐事业。在此期间,Dickson通过他的乐队组合和不同的个人创作代号,发表了多张专辑。并成为香港曲词家协会成员,是香港最重要的实验音乐乐手之一。

Dickson Dee (aka Li Chin Sung, Dj Dee, PNF) is a Hong Kong experimental music artist with a wide range of creative styles such as industrial noise, experimental electronic, avantgarde, cut n’paste, new classical etc. His debut solo album “PAST” was released under Tzadik label (USA), which is a collection of his works from 1992 to 1996. He has a great deal of experiences playing live shows mostly in China,Europe and Japan for the past years. Artists he performs with including Thomas Fehlmann, Zbigniew Karkowski, Otomo Yoshihide, Sainkho Namtchylak, Maja Ratkje,Sachiko M,Werner Dafeldecker, Patrick Pulsinger,Cdrk, Zhang Chu,Wang Fan,Tujiko Noriko, Tetsuo Furadate,Yoshida Tatsuya, Keiji Haino,Adichi Tomomi, Astro, etc. In addition, He is a producer participating in the album production of artists from different countries such as Otomo Yoshihide, Zbigniew Karkowski, Ruins, Haino Keiji, Yoshida Tatsuya, Makigami Koichi,Kang Taehwan etc. Last but not the least, he is also a concert organizer bringing artists to perform in China.

WHITE(本场演出为沈静独奏)
WHITE由守望和沈静组建于2006年1月,是近期活跃在北京地下声音艺术圈里最热情和年轻的份子。这个二人团体的音乐以noise/minimalism为开始,并在不断的摸索和创造前进。

守望:吉他,模拟效果器和玩具等。
北京新音乐运动NO BEIJING的发起人,CAR SICK CARS乐队的主音和吉他,中国新音乐时代的里的中坚份子和代表人物,最具潜力的先锋吉他创造者,2005年组建WHITE No.1,一个7人的大乐队,在里面担任吉他手和指挥,这是一支作为像Glenn BRANCA致敬的多人乐队。
随后组建WHITE 2J,弹奏电子琴。2006年的2月,他飞往纽约参加了先锋作曲家Glenn BRANCA的第13吉他交响录音。2006年和沈静组建了WHITE。
沈静:模拟合成器,鼓/打击乐器,采样等。
从98年以鼓手的身份开始从事音乐,经历了中国新音乐的千变万化,2003年开始接触噪音和实验音乐,太空声音和模拟合成器噪音的探索者,即兴乐手。
在2006年邂逅守望后开始了崭新的合作。

Summary:
White was formed by Shou Wang and Shenggy in January 2006, and has quickly become one of the most acclaimed outfits in the Beijing new music scene. White’s sound is ever evolving, spiralling outwards from the core stars of noise and minimalism to take in everything from the phase patterns of Steve Reich, Throbbing Gristle’s aggressive electronic shimmer, and the gu zheng masters of Chinese classical music.

Shou Wang: Guitar, analogue pedals, toys, effects
Shou Wang is a founder member of the Chinese new music movement, “No Beijing”, and is the guitarist / vocalist for Beijing noise band Carsick Cars. He is at the very heart of the new generation of Chinese avant-garde musicians, this year flying to New York to take part in Glenn Branca’s famous recording for 100 guitarists.
In 2005 he formed White No.1, a septet that paid tribute to the early work of Glenn Branca, and White 2R, in which he played keyboards. Finally this year he and Shenggy formed White.
Shenggy: Analogue synth, drums, percussion, sampler, effects
Shenggy has been deeply immersed in Beijing’s music scene since 1998, participating in the vibrant explosion it has undergone in recent years. She is the heartbeat of Beijing legends Hang On The Box, and since 2003, her work has increasingly demonstrated her own unique form of cosmic industrial noise.

tie guan yin is name of a kind of tea leaf, meaning is iron kwanyin buddha; it’s also joint quibble for “tie tuo” (chinese title of sub jam) and “kwanyin”, the two labels which established for chinese indie and experimental music/art. in chinese pronunciation, guan yin also means to be quiet to observe all sonic phenomena and silence.

wang fan is pioneer of china’s experimental/improvised music. sound designer, sonic explorer, powerful noise maker, minimalist/maximalist, multi-genre composer and a talented singer. he was born in 1970, Lanzhou and relocated to Beijing in 1996, the year he created China’s first formal experimental music piece which is a mysterious 40 minutes lofi work. he is a self taught, religion-tendentious (buddhism and other oriental religions) and non-spoted musician.

kwanyin is name of a popular buddha in china, kwan(guan2) means view, observe, watch, etc. yin(yin1) means music, sound, sonic existence, information, etc.
it’s the first open plate for experimental, improvised musicians/artists who live or transiently in beijing. as the idea from kwanyin records, it offers opportunities for artists from different background who now (or in the future) be into free music, i.e. abstract and spiritual sound, field recording mix, noise, as well visual art, body performance, etc.

认真总归会让事情更好玩。
在中国做事情最重要的是接轨,环境不好是当然的,发展中国家嘛,省下抱怨的时间找到方法是最要紧的。好多事都挺好,直接移植到本地就挂掉了,光骂土不好也不行啊。

去看了第3届北京国际新媒体艺术节。下着大雨,在世纪坛荒谬的建筑下站着,身后是终于安静下来了的感应器声音怪兽,远处仍然是绿树,但更远的地方是浓浓的灰云,因为浓缩了水分,所以显得那么黑,那么沉,塞满了天空。
这次的主题是代码:蓝色。主办是清华大学美术学院也就是工艺美院,和歌华集团的北京创意艺术中心(作为实体它会在年底前开放,在东直门内)。国外的合作单位包括荷兰的V2_和德国的ZKM | ,奥地利的Ars Electronica,还有前几天在水陆观音见的那个Transmediale艺术节(老赵说明年FM3要去参加)。总之是很强。
内容包括主题展、加拿大的邀请展“内部”,和中国单元“中国出航”。还有学术展和Ars Electronica艺术节26年来的现场视频观摩。
先碰见李振华,今年他是执行制作人。要了一本设计得很难看的画册。跟Spatial Sounds 100dB at 100km/h也就是那个怪兽玩了一会就下去看了。
第一个看到的是04年在巴黎的POWER展里看过的,Thomas Koener的一个黑白video,Banlieue du Vide,空寂的前院。视频就是几张荒凉的公路俯拍照片渐变,音乐好象换了新的,以前是轰隆隆,现在是咣当当。静下来看看倒也不坏,可惜地上没有垫子,更没有沙发。
然后是Herwig Weiser悬在空中的透明圆柱体Death Before Disco。其实那是一个两头都是低音单元的音箱,只不过中间多了一个旋转的轮。这个轮的学问就是上面有一圈油,上回有人跟我说过用这东西做的一个作品:用声音振动,使它形成雕塑。总之在白光的照射下它跟着轮旋转而没有落下来,还形成了细密的小尖头。黑油。高音单元在墙上,轰隆隆的声音颗粒流动着。的确很好看,就是油贵了点,一升好象上千欧元。
当然最舒服的肯定是著名的颗粒合成二人组:奥地利的Kurt Hentschlåger和Ulf Langheinrich组成的Granular Synthesis。我们进去两次,音量不够大,出来转了半圈,又决定回去找到功放调音台然后开大点,因为反正没人管,耳机都是随便放在那里可以被拿走的。后来没找到,还是坐了很久。作品当然不新,都十几年了。3个投影并排,横着一道光,声浪在消长。除了投影比较小,屏幕那大板子比较脏,其他和当年无异。可是就是舒服,呆得住,有内容,着魔,经典。突然就有了点幸福感。
整个展览水准很高,尽管几乎每个都有点打折扣。比如说Brad Todd的wave_scan,很酷的主意,用一个旧天线,上面有作用于极低频率的感应器,感应器因人的活动而产生数据,让电脑产生视频上的改变,声音则由低频正弦波和白噪音构成。互动,而且有一个通灵术的概念,这理论,CM Von Hausswolff一直在实践,主要跟EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomenon) 联系起来……一个女的拼了命地掰着那天线,让它发出了丰富的吱扭声直到它看来已经挂掉为止,她心满意足地离开,没有工作人员。
中国作品科技含量普遍低一点,工艺水平也低一点,有个叫“漂流瓶”的看来很可爱,不过味道难闻,而且有一个的感应器或者播放声音的电路坏掉了。其实我挺喜欢它,对着瓶子说点什么,可以带着特有的混响被记录下来,下一个人听完后,再录他/她的声音给下一个人听。瓶子再大点会更好听,不会低音嗡成一片,所以说只有想法还不够,还得有感官。
当然科技含量低不一定不好玩。这中间没联系。
楼上那个怪兽,后来又和它玩了很久。Marnix De Nijs和Edwin van der Heide合作的,一个长臂水平伸出,一头是音箱,后面是可以让它旋转、停留、迟疑、转向的转轴。音箱发出大块的沉重粗暴声音,两个探测器扫描着房间里的所有人,离它越近,它产生的力就越大,人动起来它也会动,直到飞速转起来并且大叫。人怕了,后退,它又渐渐平静下来。Edwin van der Heide我特喜欢,他是Sensorband成员,看过他们的现场,有力量,大空间。他也没事常在台湾参个展领个奖什么的。这个作品少一个告示牌,以防吓着人,画册好象是不卖的,所以来看展览的好多人基本不知道里面在发生什么(不过也是好事,大家带着好奇的眼光来回走,到处问为什么,很好奇)。
Lynn Hughes和Simon Laroche的互动作品Perversely Interactive System(顽固的交互系统)挺好玩的,不过没玩就闭馆了。说明如下:
“顽固的交互系统”包括一个与实物一样大小的视频投影仪,这个投影仪由参与者用生物反应手持机控制。这个手持机用以测量皮肤电流的电阻(汗腺活动的变量)。参与者可以控制通过降低他/她的内部紧张程度来控制图像(与之相随的声音),比如,通过肌肉放松、呼吸、沉思等方式。视频投影以一个女人的背影图像开始。如果参与者的紧张程度降低,这个视频中女人的将会转身,面向大家。(然而,如果参与者为这种成果所激动,她就会停下来等)。
好主意,但是不知道是不是好作品。但至少一定好玩,这个思路我回家路上想了半天,可以玩得很深。我想要的东西,技术上也能实现,但难度现在还是大了点。先想着。
David Birchfield, David Lorig, Kelly Phillips这几个人的作品叫做Sustainable,“可持续的”。7个水箱,有锣,水的高度决定锣被敲的频率,7根水管连着它们,时不时互相灌点。这里面因此就有了水资源、技术、传统文化、音乐等等。不过我还是喜欢音乐家、声音艺术家做这类作品,因为听觉可以更好玩起来。
还有一个特别喜欢的,很酷,值得看很久,但是一定要有一个安静的环境,也别有世纪坛地下那种可怕的顶和大白墙。George Legrady的Polyptic。从这个东西基础上还可以再做下去。160个小东西,两极对立消长的图象。因为无意义,简单,所以也没太多观众,因此更舒服。
总之北京能这样已经不错了,场景也在进步。不容易。
不过差距跟钱没有关系,是大家都多少有点不操心或者糙惯了,我们还得再认真点才会更好玩。楼上那怪兽音量本该达到最高100分贝的,但是差了很远,我觉得音量在这是很重要的因素。等等。细节很重要。

Born in 1981.
One of the important representatives of China’s new generation electronic scene.
German’s digital hardcore inspired Shao Yanpeng, with the spirit of independent punk in his early works. He publish different kinds of music under the name Dead J, Dead K, Disk J. Rebuilt duo band “Panda Twin” with Sulumi, and frequently gave live show in Beijing, then start to broaden sound thoughts.
At the beginning of 2005, he finished first solo album “Mental imagery”.

香港实验音乐创作人李劲松(Dickson Dee)拥有Li Chin Sung、Dj Dee、PNF等多个创作代号。创作风格十分多样化,音乐糅合了工业噪音、实验电子、Avant Garde、拼贴、舞曲等多种手法。
Dickson Dee 1969年出生于福建莆田。幼年移居香港。90年代初,组成乐队PNF,并参与工业噪音Illuminated 666的创作,从此开始了他的音乐事业。在此期间,Dickson通过他的乐队组合和不同的个人创作代号,发表了多张专辑。并成为香港曲词家协会成员,是香港最重要的实验音乐乐手之一。

Dickson Dee (aka Li Chin Sung, Dj Dee, PNF) is a Hong Kong experimental music artist with a wide range of creative styles such as industrial noise, experimental electronic, avantgarde, cut n’paste, new classical etc. His debut solo album “PAST” was released under Tzadik label (USA), which is a collection of his works from 1992 to 1996. He has a great deal of experiences playing live shows mostly in China,Europe and Japan for the past years. Artists he performs with including Thomas Fehlmann, Zbigniew Karkowski, Otomo Yoshihide, Sainkho Namtchylak, Maja Ratkje,Sachiko M,Werner Dafeldecker, Patrick Pulsinger,Cdrk, Zhang Chu,Wang Fan,Tujiko Noriko, Tetsuo Furadate,Yoshida Tatsuya, Keiji Haino,Adichi Tomomi, Astro, etc. In addition, He is a producer participating in the album production of artists from different countries such as Otomo Yoshihide, Zbigniew Karkowski, Ruins, Haino Keiji, Yoshida Tatsuya, Makigami Koichi,Kang Taehwan etc. Last but not the least, he is also a concert organizer bringing artists to perform in China.

Zafka (张安定)
1979年1月,出生。湖南人。
1998年11月至2001年,在上海组建布拉格之春乐队,担任吉他手,偏重实验噪音和即兴演奏。
20002年,乐队重组更名为布拉格,风格转向后摇滚。6月录制第一张唱片《Printemps》并告别演出。
2004年9月,在广州,开始以zafka的名义进行个人创作。
2004年10月,发表第一张电子乐Ep《Vacation Dreamer On the 17th Floor》。
2004年11月,开始尝试声音艺术创作。
2005年7-8月,在上海。录制布拉格乐队第二张唱片《Bridge》。8月20日,与戈多乐队在上海新天地ARK专场演出。
2005年9月,与钟敏杰,林志英,陈刚和覃岛组建“二十一楼”。
2005年12月,参加“二十一楼”K房计划之“众声芸说”演出,正式发表《12 Hours:Sound Actions For Your Secret Lover》。
2006年1月至6月,为曹斐西门子艺术项目“What are you doing here”做声音设计,并出版唱片《Whose Utopia》。

1998.11 - 2001: Started experimental noise/improv band Prague Spring in Shanghai, played as guitarist.
2002: Prague Spring was renamed Prague with a new lineup, style drifted towards post-rock. Finished the first album Printemps in June and disbanded.
2004.9: Started his own composition as Zafka in Guangzhou.
2004.10: Released his first electronica EP Vacation Dreamer on the 17th Floor.
2004.11: Began to compose sound art.
2005.7 - 8: Recorded Prague’s 2nd album Bridge in Shanghai. Played with Godot at Ark, Xintiandi, Shanghai on Aug. 20.
2005.9: Launched the 21floor project with Justin Zhong, LIN Zhiying, CHEN Gang & Thom CHIN in Guangzhou.
2005.12: Performed on “Sonic Brouhaha”, the debut show of 21floor. Released his first album 12 Hours: Sound Actions for Your Secret Lover.
2006.1-6: Cooperated with Caofei on her Simens Art Programme “What Are You Doing Here” and design the soundtracks. Released the ablum .

储智勇(aka 5355):记者,主流演出策划人。后摇滚乐队“布拉格”bass手,音乐(声音)聆听者,声音采样拼贴练习者。
1980年3月出生。天津人。
1998年11月在上海组建硬核punk乐队“地洞”,担任鼓手。
1999年初加入“布拉格之春”乐队,担任bass手,偏重实验噪音和即兴演奏。
2002年,乐队重组更名为“布拉格”,风格转向后摇滚。6月录制第一张唱片《Printemps》并告别演出。
2004年底,开始尝试创作pc采样拼贴作品。
2005年初,在北京组建“bad fm”乐队,风格为bandsound + 多媒体采样拼贴。
2005年5月,“bad fm”在无名高地酒吧为纪念Ian Curtis的演出进行表演。
2005年7-8月,在三周中往返上海和北京3次,录制布拉格乐队第二张唱片。
2006年3月,“bad fm”在13club为“80后party”做开场演出。

晚上在D22的庆祝演出,来了好多好多人。王悦请了各种老朋友新朋友。所以见到了武悦,好几年没见了,我发现自己老了,怎么一见故人就忍不住犯酸呢。春树长大了,脸都不一样了,真好,希望以后不要长太快,太熟会烂。兀鹏辉一周内见了两次,蔫样,干净,里面是很精神的。樱花九星的孙老板仍然茁壮,他是那种能在中国这种环境活得很好的人。traci在二楼喊我,哈哈她还在看摇滚乐演出,真棒!郝舫不算久违,不过郝艺多实在是很久没见了,再过两年就是小伙子了。沈岳早不是朋克了,有点胖,帽子翘起来,眼睛还是水灵灵的。
王悦一直梦想着成为摇滚明星。想到这一点,就想到她的黑眼圈,很辛苦啊。

怎么说呢,我是想只写免费的blog文章,而不再给杂志写稿,但是现在还做不到。
其结果是仍然要为稿费而写,而且blog上充满了预告和广告。
好在正在听matmos,这张The Rose Has Teeth In The Mout又是可以听很多遍的好唱片,向10个同性恋致敬,并且用了各种古怪的声音素材……这样心情还不错,尽管发现又没时间去邮局了(已经拖了5天)。
突然听matmos的原因是刚听了何训田/朱哲琴的新专辑《七日谈》,谢谢创盟的3个员工,专门拿了母带来给我听。正好最近看了bjork的记录片,所以就省略了bjork。我是说——何训田可能也听了很多遍bjork,尤其是里面matmos和zeena parkins的部分。

第二个叫做中国影子计划:
本计划是关于中国民间皮影艺术的研究和拍摄,它将与众多艺术家联合,通过拍摄图片,影像纪录,文字记录,艺术作品创作等形式,纪录中国皮影的传统习俗、禁忌、隐语、表演、雕刻等,构成对中国现代化乡村和乡村民间皮影艺术的系列研究和创作。
《中国影子》选定中国皮影发源地陕西华县皮影进行定点和切片研究,主要聚焦于这一地区的历史文脉、民间皮影戏生存现实、皮影历史、皮影雕刻和皮影艺人生活,采取一种群体协作的方式,通过征集志愿者艺术家和专家参与调研、拍摄,创作,以Workshop的形式展开工作,最后工作成果将包括一部纪录片,一本出版物和一个展览,一个专项网站,最后成果将于2007年7月起在华县、北京、上海、杭州、深圳展出。

颜峻,男。乐评人,独立音乐和艺术活动策划人,声音艺术家,即兴演奏者,诗人。1973年生于兰州,毕业于西北师范大学中文系,Sub Jam(铁托)和观音(KwanYin)厂牌创办者,铁观音乐队和糖乐队创建者。现居住和工作在北京,主持实验音乐和艺术系列活动“水陆观音”。
FM3,由北京音乐圈的活跃分子Christiaan Virant(老赵)和张荐组建于1999年,它被认为是中国抽象电子实验音乐的开拓者。FM3以致力于在作品中prime space for “live” aspects而著称,他们通过在micro-sounds和合成杂音之间微妙地添加某些中国民乐元素,使之成为丰富的小宇宙,呈现神秘的、冥想的、极简主义的声音风景。

Yan Jun, sound artist and improviser. Well known as music critic, poet and organizer in China’s indie music and sub-culture scene for years. Born in Lanzhou in 1973. Graduated from Department of Chinese Language & Literature in Northwest Normal University. Now lives and works in Beijing. Founder of Sub Jam and KwanYin labels. Founder of Tie Guan Yin (free-form electro-acoustic improvised project). Runs the Waterland Kwanyin weekly event for experimental/improvised music.
FM3, Founded in 1999 by Christiaan Virant and Zhang Jian, two active members of the Beijing music scene, FM3 are considered pioneers of abstract electronic experimentation in China. Known for dedicating prime space for “live” aspects within their work, FM3 produces mysterious, meditative, and minimalist soundscapes, while subtly adding certain elements of ancient Chinese folk tradition into a universe abundant in micro-sounds and synthetic glitches.
White, one of the most acclaimed outfits in beijing new music/sound scene who start from noise/avant rock/minimalism shape. re-formed by beijing based musician Jeff Zhang and Shen Jing in january of 2006. Jeff Zhang is the guitarist of Car Sick Cars and organiger of the conception No Beijing Movement. he participated in recording session of New York avant-garde composer Glenn Branca’s 13th guitar symphony in january of 2006. Shen Jing start her music career in 1998. since 2003 she turned to exploring noise and space sound. in february of 2006 Jeff Zhang and Shen Jing collaborated with New York sound artist/improviser Elliott SharP in Beijing and Shanghai.

kwanyin is name of a popular buddha in china, kwan(guan2) means view, observe, watch, etc. yin(yin1) means music, sound, sonic existence, information, etc.
it’s the first open plate for experimental, improvised musicians/artists who live or transiently in beijing. as the idea from kwanyin records, it offers opportunities for artists from different background who now (or in the future) be into free music, i.e. abstract and spiritual sound, field recording mix, noise, as well visual art, body performance, etc.
also combined with film screenning, lecture, workshop and special party.

本期艺人 - 718(孙雷)
1982年生于新疆乌鲁木齐,汉族,毕业于北方工业大学电子信息工程专业。
合成器设计师,乐器制造者,笔记本现场表演音乐家。
2005年发表专辑《非攻》(Sub Jam)、《安》(观音唱片)。参加由Reconfiguration-Records 策划发行的合辑唱片《The Sound of Silence》(单曲“半璧”)以及《Landscape》合辑(单曲“田开疆”)。未发表作品包括《718》(民谣)、《不渔》、《北七》、《梅占》(管风琴作品)、《邳》(管弦乐队与预制磁带作品)等。2004 年参加“798 艺术节” 声音表演、“谁在春天里歌唱”大型音乐节与“观音计划”专场电子音乐演出等。2005年参加798艺术节“北京新声”演出、“大声展”北京站开幕表演及“水陆观音”系列演出、以网络渠道参加挪威“Punkt05”音乐节。2006年参加mini midi ii音乐节……除音乐创作外,孙雷还帮助其他音乐人做母带处理及缩混等后制工作。并参与设计制作了第八音频网及其论坛。

released Nowise Assault (Sub Jam) and An (KwanYin Records) in 2005.
un-released works including 718, No Fishing, Bei Qi, Mei Zhan (composition for organ) and Pi (composition for orchestra and prepared tape).
since 2004 he attended to Dashanzi International Art Festival, “Who Made Spring Songs?” and Kwanyin Project. in 2005, Beijing New Sound (Dashanzi International Art Festival), “Get It Loud” exhibition openning performance, Waterland Kwanyin series and Norwegian Punkt05 festival via internet. in 2006 he performed at mini midi ii festival.
1+是一个专门展示年轻音乐家个人才华的系列,它主要为本地艺人服务,无论他们来自摇滚、实验、电子、即兴或者其他任何领域。它的出现,得益于北京新音乐场景的迅速成长和融合,北京正在成为一个国际化的新音乐试验场,多样的背景和复杂的影响集中在此,激发出了独特的、目前还难以概括的新风格。我们也欢迎来自外地和海外的艺人,因为不断路过和居留的他们,也是北京这个生态系统的一部分。
和以往的演出品牌不同,1+试图推出个别的艺人形象,类似于“个人才艺表演”的演出形式,包括独奏、合作、即兴和其他方式,甚至包括整晚的换场音乐、背景音乐的设计和播放。“1” 就是个人风格,“+” 意味着从他/她出发的无限可能;中文的“壹家”又有“自成一家”的含义,我们将不拘泥于演奏能力、作曲才华或者任何一样传统的标准,也不打算塑造新的偶像,任何专注于音乐的创造者,都会让声音自己说话。
1+ is a series aimed at identifying talented young artists and bringing their work to wider attention, both in Beijing and internationally. It will focus mainly on showcasing the work of local artists from the underground rock, experimental, electronica, impovisation and other genres. The series will also include artists from other cities and countries who, whether they are just visiting or plan to spend an extended period of time in Beijing, are part of our music ecology.The 1+ format is designed to take advantage of the fast growing new music scene in Beijing and the willingness of local artists to experiment with and mix genres. As Beijing continues its rapid development as an international new music experiment factory, various backgrounds and influences meet in the Beijing music scenes to generate new sounds and vibrations that are often difficult to categorize and hard to define.
Unlike other live series, 1+ will identify and promote individual artists by showcasing their talents in a combination of solo performances, collaboration with local artists, improvisations and other formats, including the DJing of background music. Selected artists will have the full night to show various aspects of their work and to demonstrate the different strands that characterize their musical interests.”1″ means individual style, “+” means the unlimited talents that can come out of him/her. In Chinese 1+ can also mean “to be unique”. The series will not confine itself to musical virtuosity, composition ability or any other traditional or conventional standards, nor will it set up new models. The musicians who focus on the creation of their music will be given total freedom and will let their performances and sounds talk for themselves.
