北京声音2/地下背景
去年叫“北京新声”，今年变成了“北京声音”，疑似艺术节组委会笔误将错就错。

北京声音（5月12日，南门空间）
北京的实验音乐/声音艺术，是国际音乐/艺术场景的一部分，或者反过来说，复杂的国际性影响和交流，是北京本土特色的一部分。
把实验音乐和声音艺术混合/混淆起来，当然也是一种本土特色，就像EAI（electro-acoustic improvisation）这种音乐，因为混合了不同的材料、手法和脉络，而变成了最具中国特色的新音乐一样。
我们把北京理解为一个半固定、半移动的空间，它由居民和流动人口、建筑和正在被拆除/建设的建筑、来自本土的习惯和对世界的想象构成。北京是不可见的。北京是物理的，也是化学的。北京是北京人的，但北京人也包括路过北京的人。当然。
这种混杂的关系，形成了一种奇怪的嫁接和混血，语法是生硬的，DNA在互相辨认。尽管世界上没有什么东西是真正新的，但有些东西正在被重新发明，有些东西正在和环境发生奇特的反应，对北京人和地球另一面的人来说，北京都是新鲜的，未知的。那些最富于创造性的音乐家，他们在发明自己的同时，也在发明新的北京。
地下背景（5月13日，南门空间）
2002年以后，“地下”这个概念逐渐淡出了中国摇滚乐场景。愤怒遇到改良派政治和爆炸的资讯，被转移了，激进的年轻人发现，态度居然也可以成为陈词滥调。同时，一种轻松的姿态变得流行起来，人们希望自己更酷一些，而不是太热，太较劲。曾经以为自己很地下的乐队，开始有资格（或者以为有资格）去追求更好的物质生活，因为“地下”被理解为没有钱和没有名气，这个概念被抛弃也是理所当然。
但人们迟早会明白，“地下”从根本上说，是一种美学，一种语法，一种价值观。
无论是否认同这个概念，中国的音乐土壤，已经为很多音乐家提供了这样的营养。这是一种深刻的背景，从80年代的文化英雄，到90年代初的摇滚贵族，到90年代后期的外省革命，一直到2002年以后的独立音乐潮流，一种独特的气质渲染着中国摇滚乐，让它显得与众不同。
我们也选择了Randomk(e)，他们不是中国人，但他们属于这个场景，也改变着这个场景。Carsickcars，他们做摇滚乐，但不像之前的摇滚乐队那样横着走路，这和他们的吉他音色、奇怪的发音有关吗？挂在盒子上，她们不是朋克。还有今年开始让人们兴奋起来的麻沸散，他们玩即兴的噪音摇滚，没有歌词，但是中国的摇滚乐队正在放弃的某种东西，似乎只有他们还保留了下来。
事实上，在中国，在北京，没有人能清洗自己的地下背景。

White
2006年1月由守望和沈静重新组建，音乐以noise/avant rock/minimalism为开端。
守望：Car sick cars乐队的吉他手，NO BEIJING运动发起人，2006年1月在纽约参加了先锋作曲家Glenn BRANCA的第13吉他交响录音。
沈静：98年开始从事音乐，2003年开始噪音及太空声音的探索。
2006年2月守望和沈静与纽约声音艺术家、即兴演奏家Elliott Sharp在北京和上海进行了即兴合作的演出。
铁观音
这是一支成员不确定的乐队，人数越多，他们的音乐就越安静。
成员：张荐（fm3、不一定）、老赵（fm3）、欢庆（另外两位同志）、颜峻、吴俊德（舌头、IZ）、郭龙（美好药店、IZ）、老赵（fm3）、武权、王凡、巫娜（暮良文王、不一定）、窦唯……
乐器：i-pod、CD机、MD机、数码录音机；磬、铃、音叉；笔记本；卡林巴、口弦、冬不拉；唱佛机；人声；键盘、打击乐、吉他、电贝司；monochorus（双面筝）；古琴、瑟；音频发生器、单块效果器、接触式话筒……
杰克逊·加兰
杰克逊，美国人氏，在搬到北京之前住在芬兰赫尔辛基。
2003年开始在北京居住、演出。尽管他的音乐可以一般性地描述为长音、节奏、氛围、反复和黑暗的交替，但还是为随机性和有预谋的偏移留出了空间。杰克逊使用预先准备的采样、电子设备、现场录音、loop反复，以及多种有机的元素和乐器，以便创造出在混乱又宁静的道路上漫步的声音风景。他的音乐的一个根本主题，是与表面上的无序同步发生的，它们的发生，同时得益于精心谋划的和自然发生的声音探索。在他身为北京音乐场景一分子的时候，杰克逊是摇滚乐队Handsome Black的成员，是结合了实验声音和声-像探索的气氛后摇乐队Randomk(e)的创建者之一。同时他也在多媒体艺术、数码影像制作、绘画、声音设计和平面设计等领域继续探索他音乐中的主题。
马球多（Marqido）
始于2003年，东京。最初是一个笔记本音乐家，加上舞者Chikanari Shukuka。马球多是他2005年参加大山子艺术节时得到的中文名字。
2004年，马球多和70年代就开始活跃的日本传奇前卫迷幻乐队Magical Power Mako合作。稍后在马球多的厂牌Marqimedia和Magical Power Mako的厂牌Kerojetter联合发行了套装DVD/CD“Marqido + Magical Power Mako”。
2004年10月，马球多在汉城参加了Bulgasari的新音乐活动。
2004年11月，个人专辑Democritus在日本厂牌Dharmadoll发行。包括5首实验电子作品。迷幻插画家Uchiyama Yunico为专辑提供了作品，并设计了马球多的招牌红T-Shirt。
2005年3月，马球多策划了Aka to Kuro活动，参加者包括灰野敬二、Afrirampo和Kiyasu。所有音乐都和红色或黑色有关。4月他开始了汉城、北京、纽约、多伦多、大坂、东京的巡演。10月和韩国女艺术家Vitta组建了“10”。

itta
2002年，女艺术家itta为自己选择了这个名字。它是韩语“存在”的意思。
itta一年要演出200到300场。她经常受邀参加独立hip-hop和摇滚乐队的专辑录音，与表演艺术家、哑剧艺术家、舞蹈家、视觉艺术家以及世界范围的即兴音乐家合作（灰野敬二、大友良英、松原幸子、Yukie Sato、Alfred Harth、卡尔·斯通、Park je chon，等等）。2002年开始为独立电影工作。
itta创作歌曲，以人声、钢琴、键盘、玩具等等材料演出，也创作歌词，有时画画。
itta参加过江原道哑剧节、汉城边缘艺术节（Fringe festival）、韩国实验艺术节、APNG party、Save Tibet festival、从柏林到DMZ等等艺术节，组织过t1自由即兴音乐节、自然力量等等活动。
2005年itta进行了世界巡演，在日本、乌兹别克斯坦、哈萨克斯坦等国演出。
RandomK(e)
他们吸收了完全不同的音乐影响，去创造从音景、噪音探索到太空摇滚、deep dub，甚至包括常规的流行结构的原创性音乐。他们组建于2004年，持续地致力于绘制全新的音乐图景。2006年他们将为Sub Jam厂牌录制首张专辑。
Car-Sick Cars
Car-Sick Cars 乐队成立于 2005 年初的北京，由吉他手兼主唱张守望、贝司手darkland和鼓手中秋组成。他们从 4 月份开始频繁亮相于各酒吧进行演出，乐队在之前一段时期积累创作的作品从这个时候开始北京的部分乐迷们注目、接受，并在小范围内受到很强烈的欢迎。其对一些西方重要吉他乐队（比如velvet Underground、Sonic Youth、Yo La Tengo）的音乐思维上的领悟和音乐风格上的融会形成了Car-Sick Cars 特立独行而充满诱惑力的风骨。
挂在盒子上
来自北京的Hang On The Box乐队成立于1998年7月，乐队原成员四人均为北京女孩。早期作为中国第一支女子punk乐队出现，并于1999年2月作为“中国新女孩”形象的代表荣登美国新闻杂志《Newsweek》的封面，是中国第一支用全英文创作的摇滚乐队。2003至2005年经历了成员变动，原吉他手扬帆离队。
乐队音乐多种风格不定，早期风格以punk rock为基调融入了新浪潮，无浪潮，车库等多种音乐元素。经历了8年的摸索与沉淀，目前乐队的风格与最初的punk风格相差甚异，由2005年作品“Shanghai”为代表的HOTB进入了一个新的领域，目前的风格大可归纳为indie rock与future rock
麻沸散
形成于2005年初，现在的成员有：杨漾、马晓、众舒、小光。是一支以post rock\guitar noise\自由即兴为主的experimental noise乐队。曾策动并参与“被狗惊吓的现场”、“不翼而飞”行星巡演等独立音乐事件。即兴录音作品《out of control》05年7月由NOJIJI records出品。

one of the most acclaimed outfits in beijing new music/sound scene who start from noise/avant rock/minimalism shape. re-formed by beijing based musician Jeff Zhang and Shenggy in january of 2006.
Jeff Zhang is the guitarist of Car Sick Cars and organiger of the conception No Beijing Movement. he participated in recording session of New York avant-garde composer Glenn Branca’s 13th guitar symphony in january of 2006.
Shenggy start her music career in 1998. since 2003 she turned to exploring noise and space sound.
in february of 2006 Jeff Zhang and Shenggy collaborated with New York sound artist/improviser Elliott Sharp in Beijing and Shanghai.
tie guan yin
tie guan yin is a free-form electro-acoustic impro project.
tie guan yin is name of a kind of tea leaf, meaning is iron kwanyin buddha; guan yin also means to be quiet to observe all sonic phenomena and silence.

Jackson Garland
Jackson Garland has been performing music in Beijing since 2003. For two years he was a member of rock band Handsome Black, and is a current member of space/post rock group RandomK(e). His solo music combines a variety of elements, including live looping of traditional and non-traditional instruments, throat singing, field recordings and prepared samples constructed and layered to create deep sound explorations. He will record an album for the Kwanyin label in 2006.
Marqido
Marqido started in Tokyo in 2003 - a laptop artist that worked with dancer Chikanari Shukuka.In May 2004 Marqido collaborated with Magical Power Mako. the legendary Japanese avant psychedelic musician. Later that year released a DVD/CD set,’Marqido + Magical Power Mako.
In October 2004 Marqido went to Seoul to play at an advanced music event called Bulgasari. In November, Marqido released an album ‘Democritus’ and was the first release on Japanese label, DHARMADOLL. In March 2005 Marqido held his first event ‘Aka to Kuro’.w / Haino Keiji, Afrirampo, Kiyasu. The music has the color that is red or black. In April Marqido started the tour ‘Marqido Tours 05′. Seoul, Beijing, New York, Toronto, Osaka, and Tokyo.

itta isfemale solo artist.
2002, itta chose her name, itta, that means exist in Korean.
itta plays 200-300 times in a year. and she featured some Korean indie hip-hop groups, Rock bands’ album, and have collaborated on works with performers for performance, mime artist, dancers, artists, and world wide improvising musicians (Haino Keiji, Otomo Yoshihide, Sachiko M, Yukie Sato, Alfred Harth, Carl Stone, Park je chon, and so on), and made for indie films from 2002.
itta had started world tour, 2005. she had a concert at Japan and she played Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan with traditional musicians and classical musicians.
RandomK(e)
RandomK(e) draws on disparate influences to produce original music that ranges from soundscapes and noise exploration to space rock, deep dub and even conventional pop structures. Founded in late 2004, the group continues to chart new musical territory and will record its debut album for the Sub Jam label in 2006.
Car-Sick Cars
formed by guitarist/lead vocal Jeff Zhang, bassist Darkland and drummer Zhongqiu in earlier 2005, Beijing. they start performing at bars continually since april of 2005 and gathered acclaim from deep indie scene. they often play at the What? Bar which is the smallest and cheapest lvie venue in Beijing. their influence from Velvet Underground, Sonic Youth and Yo La Tengo bring them into underground bars then finally their own kingdom.
Hang on the box
based in beijing, formed in July 1998 as the first chinese girls punk rock band. there are 4 girls at beginging, each member is all from beijing, 2003 to 2005 band got member chianging, the former guitarist yang fan left .
at beinging they played punk rock and new wave, no wave, garage, during the 8 years developing they have been far away from their early sound, you can find the sign from their new track SHANG HAI to discover their such improve.
HOTB is spining krautrock and futurerock in currently.
Ma Fei San
3 from Shandong and one from Ningxia, this 4 pieces avant-rock band formed in January 2006, Beijing. their performances are 95% improvised and 5% constructional/composed. it’s always incredible powerful and crazy. with old fashion style and psycho look, they blend experimental noise and rock energy together between sudden climaxes. you cannot describe them as only no wave or guitar noise. they are Chinese local underground rock with essential rock spirit and developed new form. you will dig the local root with their future flowers, again.
