boris - pink

boris的专辑,最喜欢的是2002年的heavy rocks和在下北泽High Line Record顺手买的那张boris at last -feedbaker-,当时纯粹是因为在一屋子的j-indie和j-rock里找不到北,纯粹为了满足购物欲而买的,回来以后就……应该说,boris让我重新爱上了摇滚乐!传说中的“听了10000张唱片以后还会喜欢摇滚乐”的那一个乐队,就是他们。

现在可以加上2005年在美国southern lord发的pink了。简单,温暖,爆炸,速度,能量,聪明,经典,迷幻,神采飞扬,要什么有什么。相比之下去年的soundtrack from the film mabuta no ura (essence music,意思是“眼皮背面”),一个虚拟电影原声,后摇了一点,属于非必要作品。但他们特别做了199套手工盒装版,还送干花,很美。

heavy rocks也有点特殊,是和Lori(Acid King、Masonna)、Merzbow合作的。merzbow是一个非常摇滚的噪音音乐家。他在北九州艺术中心出版的声音艺术资料里,有一个remix作品,black sabbath的into the void。jojo 广重给AV女星Miki Sawaguchi制作过一个专辑,请他做的那首虽然是全然的噪音,但是配上女声念诵,恩……还有日本sony的圣诞合辑里那首寂静的夜。他是让我保持摇滚乐激情的另一个来源。这事果然很cult,也坎普。

去年earth、boris、Sunn 0))) 都发了专辑,merzbow也有一堆。欧。

听了近10张the flying luttenbachers之后,还是boris提神。我爱那个女吉他手wata。我爱boredoms的yoshimi。我爱sachiko。我爱勇敢的小爱神……

开大音量,爱在怀里。

关于《滚石》中文版

将于2月创刊的《滚石》中文版将会改变中国的音乐和青少年文化吗?

当然。虽然之前人事变动和各种内耗传闻不断,我个人接触到的6、7个编辑记者中,多数素质太低(但都是好混子),估计也早都离开了……但就是做不好,他们也可以先占着茅坑再说。何况这茅坑下面是金矿。

用什么改变?资本和整套价值体系。

中国现有的音乐杂志,基本都是fanzine(口袋、重型、极端、我爱,以前的非音乐),比以前的《音像世界》、现在的《hi轻音乐》更音乐一点,也更不专业。《通俗歌曲》是惟一平衡着、稳重前进的,但他们在发行方面根本是业余,人员配制和稿费投入方面脆弱得不堪一击。《滚石》可以用钱把大家都砸死。但这还不是最致命的。

从媒体专业看,《滚石》样刊3期已经表达了两个重点:人物和新闻。首先,fanzine不会做人物,只会做仰望、追捧和毫无准备的访谈;其次,fanzine从业人员根本没有接受过新闻训练,也没有看过多少正经的新闻(可怜,在这样一个新闻环境里),没有能力去发掘新闻线索,和进行深度报道。而《滚石》看起来可以做到这些。

其实新闻的客观性并不只是要求独立思考能力,它更是一种态度。《滚石》的背后是整套资本主义文明的新闻体系,它的创刊,就是对当时fanzine兴盛的一种超越,一种对莱斯特·邦斯式个人风格的否定,一种冷静的知识分子对狂热的文艺战士的超越,一种自我体制化的努力。它让一代美国摇滚乐读者发现,自己的过家家游戏玩得越来越像真的,玩大了,最后,玩成真的了。是的,最后,《滚石》真的变成了主流杂志,而不是单纯的音乐杂志。这时候你才会知道fanzine是最摇滚的(武汉的chaos),至于独立媒体(arthur、vice)和专业媒体(wire、computer music journal )以及进化了的网络杂志(pitchfork、brainwashed),这些都是在《滚石》垄断之后才会体现出魅力的小众杂志——是的,《滚石》和摇滚乐的大众化一起到来。

这种理性的力量是非常难以抗拒的。和科技崇拜、自由主义一样,中国的年轻人会涌向它然后才有放弃它的可能。

更何况它一直在放大摇滚乐中关于成功的神话。香车美人,肌肉和金项链,通过整个行业的有序运转,使越来越多的人加入和分享这个神话。这种神话的力量也是难以抗拒的,因为在过去的20多年里,中国的年轻人一直都在喊着叛逆,但他们中的大多数真正需要的,是用自己的神话取代国家的神话。

人物,新闻,理性,神话。一个强大的专业的资本主义事业在土鳖的模糊的暴发户国家的空降,摇滚乐不再是过家家了。至于编辑记者的素质,没关系,可以培养,以及雇佣——要是每月扔个2、3万欧元来砸,我也愿意去做主编。那天发稿费的编辑来电话问稿费标准,我说,那袁智聪多少我也多少吧。那么袁主编千字多少呢?不知道,反正比李主编给的多(不过,我不会抛弃你的,亲爱的李主编)。

昨晚上想早睡但是睡不着,满脑子修改已经和正在完成的计划。先把那个公园里的无响室改了名字叫“洗耳阁”,设计了一个开幕展;然后给冯昊发短信设计爱父爱母三乐队在大年初三第三十三期水陆观音的演出海报。

两个好朋友的蝈蝈不见了。

它是一个好乐手。音箱里低音强大的时候它就会叫,但一般来说,只有听到好音乐才叫。叫声肯定很配合。

有一天,它被人拿走了。当然,不是在周二失踪了。现在我们少了一个好乐手。希望它在新的地方过得舒服,有好听的声音陪伴它。更希望有新的蝈蝈来陪伴两个好朋友酒吧的乐手和观众……

FM3
FM3由北京音乐圈的活跃分子Christiaan Virant(老赵)和张荐组建于1999年,它被认为是中国抽象电子实验音乐的开拓者。FM3以致力于在作品中prime space for “live” aspects而著称,他们通过在micro-sounds和合成杂音之间微妙地添加某些中国民乐元素,使之成为丰富的小宇宙,呈现神秘的、冥想的、极简主义的声音风景。
FM3被美国杂志Grooves评论为“中国最杰出的实验组合”。XLR8R杂志把FM3的声音描述为“诗意的噪音”。英国的Wire杂志形容FM3的现场为“静默冥想的”和“抚慰人心的”。
2004年,FM3受巴黎卢浮宫博物馆委托,为1930年代的经典电影”La Croisière jaune”制作新的配乐。这个计划以6月在卢浮宫礼堂的三场成功演出而告终。
2005年,FM3在柏林传奇厂牌Staalplaat发表了便携式声音装置“唱佛机”,通过forced exposure、boomkat等邮购网站,它已经成为2005年独立音乐界最受欢迎的产品,被Wire、Arthur、Almostcool、New York Times等媒体报道和赞美。
2005年,FM3在Staalplaat发表了专辑Mort Aux Vaches,此前他们在法国的Bip-Hop、加拿大的Mutek_Rec、意大利的Mousike、英国的Nascente、瑞士的Leerraum和美国的Sublime Frequencies等厂牌发表过作品。他们的下一张专辑将在著名的Staubgold厂牌发表。

FM3
Founded in 1999 by Christiaan Virant and Zhang Jian, two active members of the Beijing music scene, FM3 are considered pioneers of abstract electronic experimentation in China. Known for dedicating prime space for “live” aspects within their work, FM3 produces mysterious, meditative, and minimalist soundscapes, while subtly adding certain elements of ancient Chinese folk tradition into a universe abundant in micro-sounds and synthetic glitches.
FM3 has been called “the most prominent experimental act in China” by the US magazine Grooves. XLR8R described FM3’s sound as “poetic noise” and the UK magazine The Wire calls FM3 live sets “meditative” and “soothing.”
In 2004, FM3 was commissioned by the Louvre museum in Paris to provide a new soundtrack for the classic 1930s film “La Croisière jaune.” The project concluded with three sold-out performances at the Louvre Auditorium in early June.
In 2005, FM3 released the blowed-up sound box Buddha Machine on Berlin’s legendary Staalplaat record label. It gains hail from indie circle through the world.
FM3 released album Mort Aux Vacheson Staalplaat in 2005, after released music on Bip-Hop records in France, Mutek_Rec in Canada, Mousike records in Italy, Nascente records in the UK, Leerraum records in Switzerland and Sublime Frequencies in the United States. Thire next album will launched by the Staubgold label.

拍电影不容易

武权的短片《赤·等待》昨天开机,今天封镜。

这是他发起的“色相”系列短片中的一个。抓阄的结果是我来配乐。所以昨天也去做了现场录音。东四妇产医院,1931年建立的中国最早的……马上也要拆了,因为只有拆了盖楼才能从政府弄到钱来。当然,现场充满各种杂音,平均高达55分贝以上,演员说话有时候跟蚊子差不多,后期有的补了……

拍电影不容易啊,那么多人要导演一个人来调度安排,那么多偶然因素。但这并不是说,我终于明白了拍电影不容易,所以以后就不再骂导演傻逼了,不,干什么都不容易,但是为什么有人就干出来傻逼的作品,有的人就不?作为一个乐评人,我可从来没有要求读者体会到写乐评的不容易,尤其没有要求音乐人体会到,尤其没有要求那些怕评论的、自恋般珍惜自己劳动的音乐人体会到。因为世界是公平的,劳动只是创造的前提,它给劳动者带来快乐,却从来都不是评论要考虑的因素。

色相计划1:赤橙黄绿青蓝紫
“色相实验工场”是一新成立的地下厂牌,希望通过努力,能够对成全和促进实验电影的原创、开发、组织、制作与推广,起到一定的作用。
“色相”是“色相实验工场”计划出的第一张DVD的名字。
具体的计划是——
1、邀请7位独立电影制作人,以抓阄的形式,每人各得一色。
2、7位参与者各得到具体的颜色后,计划会在这里有一个指令。这个指令会让大家在心里得到一个“词”。与会者须在1分钟内,忠实地将自己心中的那个词写在一张纸上,折叠后放入指定的罐里。
3、7人再次以抓阄的形式,分别得到一个词,也可能是自己写的,也可能是别人写的。总之会得到这样的排列 (某个颜色)·(某个词),从而形成对应关系,得到相对具体的“命题”。
4、要求7位参与者用各自得到的“命题”,以自助的形式,独立制作一部长度不超过15分钟,有事儿、并能反映所持命题内涵或理解的短片,于2006年元旦前汇集于“色相实验工场”。
5、抓阄所在地计划选在卡利特化工厂内,届时望7位同仁各自带一数字摄像机,分别以各自主视的角度记录抓阄与写词的过程,将来剪接后用在片与片之间的串场及片头尾。
6、“色相实验工场”计划在2006年春季将以发布会的形式,如有基础可以弄成一场为电影现场配乐的活动。正式出品集大成之后的《色相》成片,并发行DVD。

庞文龙,1979年7月28日出生于甘肃兰州,之后用这个名字直到初中,改名为庞顺天。但很多人还是叫我庞文龙、老庞或龙龙。至于庞顺天是谁,没有几个人知道!
初中时在一个老师的引导下接受最早的艺术启蒙教育,画画。95年我如愿考入兰州唯一所教授美术教育的高中——兰州第十八中学,工艺美术专业。
98年高中毕业,但没有参加当年的高考,而是经父亲介绍去了甘肃省园林局下属的兰州市雕塑院。一年的时间里做了大批的装饰浮雕和几个微缩景观后,辞职。那一年是我目前为止挣钱最多的一年。
辞职后我第一次接触到了影视,随兰州军区剧作中心去城市附近的农村拍摄一部关于军队题材的电视剧,我担任置景。不痛不痒的半个月下来我并没有感觉到影视的魅力。之后我去了苏州,在那里以唱歌为生,生活了半年。
2000年正月初一的早上回到兰州。
做乐队,这是我回到兰州的第一个想法。在那一年最热的7月份,我和大磊组建了一支名叫“热月”的乐队,很快我俩招集到了其他乐手后,便风风火火的干了起来,这一干就是两年。在这段时间里,我们不停的排练、演出。那是兰州摇滚乐最快乐、最没有压力的一段日子,每个人都很高兴,至于什么是音乐?这个问题好象和我们关系不大!
02年的夏天,在世界杯如火如荼的大环境下经历我生平第一次高考,估计也是最后一次。我意外的拿到了北京一所美术学校的录取通知书,这也是我父母最担心的一件事情。很快我便打消了去北京上学的念头,以我的号召力组织起一群朋友拍摄赵申申的剧本《欢子》,我任执行导演和美术,并且参与了演出。《欢子》于8月初拍摄并完成了后期制作。据说这是兰州第一部独立制做的DV影片,谁知道呢?
9月份我拿着学校的录取通知书买半价车票去了北京。
11月份我完成了自己编剧、导演的第一部DV短片《谁呀》。
03年,在兰州的室内情景喜剧《快乐兰州》里担任编剧、摄像和剪辑。
04年4月,在北京剪辑了由孙志强导演的2003年迷笛音乐节记录片《节日》。
8月在银川拍摄由黄燎原组织的贺兰山音乐节记录片。
2005年4月在兰州室内情景喜剧《快乐兰州》二期里担任摄像和剪辑。5月拍摄独立完成兰州西野俱乐部西藏之行记录片《路上》。

唐郗汝,1980年出生,现读于中国社会科学院研究生院,比较文学和世界文学专业。糖乐队成员。

交警为什么都爱罚款——民警手记

这个要再不转就不对了。

吴幼明是谁呢?一个警察……别慌,这个是自己人。他是民刊《水沫》的作者,也作为原型出现在卫铁的电影《黄石大道》里。

两次去马来西亚,看到那里的交警,50马币(100人民币)就可以搞定违章。因为他们收入很低,据说必须靠这个来补贴工资,所以过着没有尊严的生活。中国的交警是不是也很苦就不知道了,反正很多人都恨他们,恶性循环,空气中没有爱,我们的街道就脏了。有权力的时候就滥用,没有就恨,恶性循环,我们的心就脏了。

尊敬的黄石市公安局局长、党委书记王庆华同志:

  您好!我叫吴幼明,男,32岁,警号005676,一级警司,现为黄石市公安局交警支队交管科民警。今天我有一件事情向您汇报,之所以打扰您,是因为此前我己将此事向交警支队党委反映过了但并未得到支队领导的确切回复,而我觉得这并不是个小问题。

  在2005年5月–9月我在黄石港交警大队工作期间,累计被大队长谢崇明扣去百分考勤803元,理由是我未按月完成大队规定的罚款任务。谢崇明给黄石港交警大队的每一个路面民警制定的罚款任务为:每人月纠章量不得低于180起,平均每起纠章的罚款额不得低于50元(这样每名民警的月罚款额就不能少于9000元),否则就要按比例扣民警的月百分考勤。

  根据2004年5月1日起施行《中华人民共和国道路交通安全法》第八十六条之规定:“任何单位不得给公安机关交通管理部门下达或者变相下达罚款指标;公安机关交通管理部门不得以罚款数额作为考核交通警察的标准。公安机关交通管理部门及其交通警察对超越法律、法规规定的指令,有权拒绝执行,并同时向上级机关报告。” 谢崇明利用大队长的权力给大队交警下达罚款任务是违法行为,在实际操作过程中更是粗暴的掠夺了民警的合法收入;同时,扣款时连收据也不给,严重的违反了财务制度。试问路面交警能不依据法律的明文规定去处罚司机吗?民警能收取司机罚金而不给收据吗?如果我在路面执勤时这样对待驾驶员,肯定会被司机们骂成土匪。谢崇明身为大队长,在管理队伍时随心所欲的给民警订罚款任务,未完成罚款任务就扣工资(《公务员法》第七十四条 公务员工资包括基本工资、津贴、补贴和奖金。),完全是仗势(权力)欺人(民警),这还是个有素质的执法机关的领导者形象吗?

  我于2005年11月24日上午将此情况的书面材料上交交警支队政治处,因为交警的百分考勤都由支队政治处核发,我想查询清楚:我被扣百分考勤这究竟是大队行为还是支队行为?谢崇明制定罚款任务并以此扣民警百分考勤的事,支队领导是否知情?

  2005年12月2日下午14:30时,支队政委李良武约我到政治处会议室谈话,在场的有副支队长石长远、交管科长徐冰、政治处副主任闻关泉、黄石港大队教导员梅方汉、纪委内勤李家安。李政委向我宣读了湖北省交警总队文件,其中有市区交警日纠章量应为10-15起的条款,还宣读了与此内容相同的支队文件;指出因为我未完成大队规定的纠章任务,大队扣发我的百分考勤是合理的。我说这些文件规定了民警应完成的纠章量,但并未明文规定民警未完成纠章量就该扣工资或受到其他处罚,这实际上不具备操作性;就象交通法中如果规定闯红灯是违法行为,但没有具体规定闯红灯将如何处罚,那么禁止闯红灯的规定也就是一纸空文。我并不是说支队、大队领导无权扣我的工资,我愿意让谢崇明扣我的钱,但他能不给合法理由、不给扣款收据就任意克扣我的工资吗?这种行为一点合法性都没有,能让我心服吗?现在都快到2006年了,新的交通法施行了一年多,广大驾驶员和人民群众的法制意识也越来越强,在这种现实情况下,象谢崇明这样的大队领导还在沿用上世纪八九十年代的管理思路,违法给民警订罚款任务,完不成任务就扣工资,这种落后的管理方式能行得通吗?事实上有我这样的民警向领导提出质疑,可以提高领导的管理水平。

  李政委说如果你来当领导,你又将如何提高民警的工作效率呢?我说我不是领导,也当不了领导,用不着考虑这个问题。李政委说你每天上了班,但没干事,一个月纠章不到10起,大队扣你钱是理所当然的。我说我罚款少但并不表示我没干事,比如我值班、上班、指挥疏导交通堵塞、配合城管清理摊贩占道、保护事故现场、调解小的交通事故和纠纷、参加安保警卫工作、参与处理大型治安事件这些都不算工作吗?在“8.4” 那天,大冶市民上访堵路时,我最先冲上去将打交警者拖上警车,然后和闻关泉副主任在车上守卫所有抓上来的闹事者,我的表现不勇敢吗?大队怎么能仅仅因为我罚款少就将我其他的所有工作都抹杀,将我的月百分考勤扣光,这说的过去吗?

  李政委说你对此事的处理意见有什么要求?我说我无权要求领导该怎么办,我只希望领导们依法、依财物制度办事,给我扣款的依据和扣款收据,即便为此处分我,我也搞个明明白白心里舒服;要么就把非法扣去的803元工资还给我。其后,领导们反复做我的思想工作,意思是希望我不要为此事较真,将此事化解算了。但作为一名执法者,我被大队长稀里糊涂的扣了803元工资,我能稀里糊涂的就这么算了吗?我个人的经济损失不谈,我们的队伍管理能不严格依法治警,依财务制度办事吗?我不对此较真,我怎么对得起这身警服和执法者的称号?从14:30时一直谈到近17:00时,我看李政委等领导没有解决问题的诚意,空耗时间也无用,就走了。

  今天,我给您写下了这封信,只希望能引起您对交警支队混乱的内部管理的高度重视,我按制度将此事逐级上报,将在15天内静候此事的最终解决。如果此事在黄石市公安局范围内仍无法解决的话,我只能将之公布于网络媒体,让公众来参与讨论和判断此事的是非对错。

  2005年12月21日9:50时,我将这封信送到黄石市公安局局长办公室,秘书罗晓辉收下了信。当天下午17:00时,交管科长徐冰通知我,我明天就被调到西塞山公安分局。2005年12月22日上午,我到西塞山分局政治处报到后被分配到西塞派出所。西塞派出所是黄石市郊的农村派出所,从我家骑摩托车到西塞派出所要半个多小时,途中几乎穿越了整个黄石市区,同事们戏称我这是被发配边疆。

  我不想将这次调动理解成市局领导对我的打击报复,我在西塞派出所安心上班,静候了十五天之后,没有得到市局方面的任何回复。今天我在网络上公布这个事件,是想给广大驾驶员朋友以知情权,同时向法律界人士咨询:我该如何运用法制途径去讨个说法?我不惧怕任何来自权力的打压,如果穿着这身执法者的警服却没有能力去维护法律的尊严,我穿它何用?

Jackson Garland

Jackson is originally from the United States and lived in Helsinki, Finland, prior to moving to China.
He has been living and performing in Beijing since 2003. While his music can generally be described as alternately droning, rhythmic,
ambient, looping and dark, there is always room left for random chance or deliberate deviation in style. Jackson makes use of prepared samples, electronics, live recording and looping along with various organic elements and instruments to create soundscapes which wander down alternately chaotic and serene sonic avenues. One of the underlying themes in his music evolves around the emergence of synchronicities from seeming randomness, and these occurrences are cultivated through both deliberate and spontaneous sound exploration. During his time as a part of Beijing’s music scene, Jackson has been a member of rock band Handsome Black and co-founded the group Randomk(e), a musical collective which blends atmospheric post rock with experimental sounds and audio-visual explorations. He also explores the themes present in his music through multimedia art projects, digital video production, painting, sound design and graphic design.

昨天挺累的。到现在还没缓过来。

哪吒演了28分钟。一首。甜的苦。小熊的哭腔被混响着。良好的开始。

观众中以李桥影为首的一圈女孩一直在发出说笑声。也算是环境的一部分,不过水陆观音的观众一般比较自觉分区,吧台这边算社交区,舞台前面是观看区。从河酒吧到两个好朋友,李同学嘹亮不减当年。

和巫娜二重奏。有句无章。破坏多过建设。互相试探但还没找到。良好的开始。她在给刘索拉排练,也挺辛苦。中间上来一个不知道名字的朋友,他放得开但听得少。

然后和郭大刚(笔记本)、吴俊德(弹拨尔)三人。好一些。面对传统乐器表达的完整性,后现代有点发愁了。以后要继续探讨,传统乐器在完全声音化之前,和其他复杂声音语言的结合方法。

平庸的人生中又一个充实的夜晚消失。

两个死掉了的人

2005年死掉的人里,derek bailey(1930.1.29 - 2005年12月25日)和koji tano(田野幸治,1961 - 2005年7月31日)都是要花好长时间来纪念的人。因为最好的纪念方式之一,肯定是听他们的音乐。可是谁会听得了他们全部的作品呢?到现在我连1/10都没有听过。可能更少。因为算上不计其数的合作,根本不知道他们有多少作品。

听了一段时间以后,觉得还是不着急写文章了。反正已经有很多人写了。

derek bailey是大腕,自由即兴界的领袖,闵小芬因为和他合作而在这个领域闻名(但bailey却说她的词典里就没有即兴这个词,呵呵,说真的哪个从学院出来的中国乐手知道这个词?他们管未经排练的无谱合奏叫即兴),不知道多少英国自由即兴乐手从他那里学会了吭吭唧唧的演奏(要是没学好那就叫便秘式的演奏),最终这个流派已经成了传统、主流、精英,现在已经是各种分支兴盛起来的时候了。可是中国连爵士乐的传统都没有,就一帮中产阶级闲人玩standard、杨乃武爵士和小白菜fusion,惟一热衷于即兴(暂且这么用词)的不一定,多数现场又是乐器卡拉OK(要是加上人声那就更像了)。在这个国家的音乐界,很难想象derek bailey大爷能在短期内产生影响。

koji tano却不一样,虽然知道的人更少,但噪音这东西很适合中国人。从声音和心态上看,中国都是世界上最噪的国家之一,中国年轻人在90年代中后期爆发的摇滚乐革命,很大程度上是用极端声音来安慰压抑的青春,噪音很容易被我们这些绝望的土鳖所理解……我从架子上翻出来一个叫《心声》的合辑(auscultare research出版),是randy丘汉英1998年做的,里面有他用本名和化名MSBR(这个名字要更响一些)的作品。这是我最早知道他。然后就一再碰到这个名字。2005年夏天,ronez和他取得联系,开始在“电子杂音”卖豆腐唱片,没想到很快田野大叔就去了。现在可以在http://www.steinklang-records.at/koji-tano.html下载一个10唱片的纪念合辑,有150多首作品,多数是专门为纪念他而做的,全世界的噪音界都在纪念他,而上海的折磨护士和桂林的ronez也在里面。要了解噪音音乐,这倒是一个好机会……

koji tano的纪念,免费下载,全球联动,等等,比bailey要黯淡,但又同样让人肃然起敬。噪音是完全没有利润可言的音乐(日本SONY曾经发过一张,估计管事的经理没什么好下场),它的土,它的DIY,它的极端,都让做噪音的人保持着最干净的心态。我认识的做噪音的人,都是干净的人。这一点,自由即兴界也差不多,但毕竟差一点。

很多人做音乐是为了喜欢音乐,但做起来以后,脏东西就开始控制他们,钱,名气,架子,身份,等级,事业规划,利益关系,最后形成一个封闭的、自给自足的圈子,有丰富的权力、名望、钱、政治资源和完备的社会等级结构,而音乐只是工具。你同情这些井底之蛙?呵呵,他们只能回报以鄙视,因为你是草寇而他们是被社会、媒体、传承簇拥起来的权力的一部分。

中唱录音棚真是一个酷地方,里面装满了几十年前的设备,最早的采样器,studer的古董调音台,东德设计的监听音箱,压缩器、调音台、开盘机、钢琴……包着木头和皮垫的设计,显得温暖沉重,不像今天的设计,越漂亮就越是透着随时准备着过时和被抛弃。这个地方也酷,像一个单位活动室,有点脏乱,很多用途不明的东西躺在角落里,已经死了心不再指望被人擦干净使用。

sainkho归来

前卫爵士名厂leo出了sainkho namtchylak的新专辑,严格地说是俄罗斯的三人爵士组合TRIO与sainkho的合作。

叫做trio and sainkho - forgotten streets of st.petersburg (leo 439)。让人想起这个坏脾气的奇女子,就要老了,仍然游荡着,回忆探险两不误,孤零零嚎叫着向地狱冲刺,又半路折回到庙里,巴松吹得像喇嘛的法号,调被活生生扯开。前两张流行歌曲的漂亮装饰全都去掉了,女人老了就不是女人了,是老女人,这不悲哀,只是真实,剩下的都是力量。坏脾气的,骨头的,圣彼得堡冬天的,4个既古典又自由的老了还硬着的人,在北风吹厚了的脸上写着自己的故事。并且,不打算和你分享。

2004年毕业于中央音乐学院,获得古琴硕士学位。同年担任中央民族歌舞团演奏员。

1992年,“92杭州国际古琴邀请赛”最高奖。
1994年,“中央音乐学院首届民族器乐观摩赛”最高奖。
1998年,中央音乐学院首届“龙音”奖民族器乐观摩赛最高奖。

Noise is music that uses unpleasant or painful or extremely loud or discordant sound. Noise is also a very dangerous musical trend that is hell bent on destroying civilized culture, this anti-cultural movement is quickly sweeping the globe, and is very dangerous to our youth.

Plainly put: Noise music causes ear and brain damage!!

If you thought Rap, Punk, Heavy Metal or any other past degenerate “music” trend was a threat…WAKE UP!! Inform yourself ! DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT! We are not going to take this sitting down!

NOISE MUSIC / AN IN DEPTH LOOK:

In order to take the spiritual temperature of an individual or society, one must “mark” the music. There is no more effective way to teach anything than with the aid of music. It undoubtedly affects our emotions. To start with many listeners do not realize the fact that music is a powerful communicator of philosophy. In traditional (normal) music, there is a melody and notes that one can sing along to. In noise music, the actual musical part has become more and more debased away from these standards and has slowly replaced them with desperation and a distorted view on the world. This leaves the listeners mind, will, emotions and actions affected adversely.
To some critics of my work, they call it “alarmist”, “negative”, “ignorant”. Many noise fans will cite many upon many seemingly non-degenerate and/or positive noise musicians recording and performing today. I cant blame anyone for being ignorant about this subject, since noise is a brand new genre of music. Do not worry I will be here to answer your questions and show the light of what is really going on. Many will say even if some of the lyrical content of noise is not offensive, but ultimately it doesn’t matter because it is usually effected with a lot of well… effects and you cant tell what they are saying anyways. Then answer me this, if it doesn’t matter then why aren’t they singing about birds and waterfalls and living in a wonderful world?? Why arent they helping make this world a better place?? I’ll tell you why, they dont care about this world and they are hell bent on destroying it.

Lets take a slight roll down history lane, shall we?? First there was Mozart, then Beethoven, then Glen Miller, and all was fine in the world.. :) then the bomb called Elvis was dropped, soon came Buddy Holly, Little Richard, Jerry Lee Lewis and Johnny Cash, this was the rage called rock and roll. And the world would never bee the same again, Parents disdained it and generally their opposition was based on the sound and style of the music. But the underlying theme had become the anthem for the youth culture. To many this theme became far more important and influential than the actual music. This theme was more than just an image— IT WAS THE SPIRIT OF REBELLION!! Music was no longer an organized structure of melody and notes, rock and roll introduced dissonance and unpleasant sound at extremely loud volumes. Though far from advocates, parents and educators dismissed it as a fad of teen years, The excuse was (and still is in noise) that all teenagers go thru a time of testing and growing that is often associated with rebellion. Rock and Roll didn’t go away. Noise musicians see that rock music has lost its affect and has became an accepted form within the climate of music and now the noise agenda has its sights on eliminating any traces of melody or structure. In my estimation this is where we lost Americas- and literally the worlds youth culture. Music is the foundation of culture and these self proclaimed prophets seek on destroying what little we have yet to hold on to. In this post 9-11 world we have to fight harder and smarter than our enemies. We must arm our self with knowledge and seek to shine light where there is only darkness.

Noise is one of the most fanatical cults I have ever seen, within hours of putting our website and message board online we were flooded with messages and email from those involved in the scene. These people hide behind the guise of “artistic creativity” while in reality they are out to destroy any trace of art.(How contradictory is that folks?) It spreads a message that is dogmatically opposed to the message of the “establishment” and thus attains the status of a cult in my mind. A lot of “noise defenders” will use excuses that they are presenting alternatives to the established order that is also rotten, but instead of trying to offer a well balanced alternative to the system they seek on tearing it down. The noise scene is also structured a lot like terrorist organizations, they work in small numbers with no clear leader and work feverishly on their ‘music’ often self releasing cds and records (I might add if you heard most of this stuff, youd see why). This makes our job a lot harder since we do not have a handful of larger record companies to boycott or pressure.

One thing is certain. We live in a society that seems to be ever-changing, in reality what we are experiencing is merely a repeating of history. Just as with the industrial revolution and the explosion of the internet, mankinds moral character has undergone a severe alteration. This alteration is not one unique to our time. Indeed, on their way to total demise Roman and Greece followed the same deceiving steps that we are now taking. Many parents of today have witnessed the fastest most consistent decline of morality in the history of the planet. The root of this moral decay in a society is rebellion. It has become acceptable among the youth of today at a very formative and vulnerable point in their lives. Capitalistic culture knows this and manipulates this system of marketing rebellion, if we don’t stop this Noise trend right now, it might just be the final step tword the complete collapse of civilized culture. If all the elements of art are removed from art, the soul of a culture is dead. And that is exactly what Noise is. Sound of a dead soul. Some “Noise Musicians” (which i might add is another contradiction!) seem to think that they are outside of this system, but either they are hiding this conspiracy or unknowingly playing right into the game. I’ve received email from ‘artists’ saying that: they don’t really think about what they do they just do it because it is more natural or free than writing songs… i see this as concrete proof of how manipulated some of them are. I would also like to say even tho there is a conspiracy going on, not everyone involved within it is aware that they are taking part in it. Thats why we are here, to help inform parents on the dangers of noise and what can be done about it.

Were a new organization and need your help! Right now: we need help compiling lists of noise bands and record labels so parents can go thru their childrens CDs and remove offending titles. Also we are looking for quotes from noise ‘musicians’ that show the true nature of what we are up against!

PARENTS STORIES:

Well, I just returned from my son’s room where I found a record that has got to be themost offensive recording I have ever heard. It is by 2 bands on what my son called a “split” release. What ever that means. Anyway, the lyrics are utterly disgusting and disturbing. The record is by two groups called Nicole 12 and Prurient. It comes
with a lyric sheet of some of the most horrid descriptions of pedophilia and fantisies of sex with AIDS patients. And I DO NOT know where this record cover could have been manufactured legally. I have taken away ALL of my sons music (including his iPod) and his father and I will be going though each one. Below is a list of some of them that I can tell you, just by reading song titles or looking at the record covers, need to be destoryed if
you find them in your childs collection. These are ones that just on site were thrown in the garbage.

Women, I ask you to PLEASE look in your son or daughters rooms and really take alook at the music and movies they are exposing themselves to. My husband and I are debating storngly about sending our son to seek some professional help. Right now I amvery upset and do not know what to do. I do not want my son to become a pervert. I do not know how he got interested in this stuff at all. And I thought Marylin Manson was the sickest
thing around. I am just sick to my stomache that things like this exist.

Although, I am confused by your inclusion of Radiohead on the site. I am actually a fan. Or is this another band of the same name? Thanks ladies for making this site. We need to collect as much information as we can about this. In this day and age of computers and instant access to all media by anyone. We really need to take the time to look at what our children are listening to, watching, and reading on the web. **PL62

Dear M.A.N.,

Thank you for exposing this issue. As a teachers aid at a high school, I see many things to be concerned about in my community and with the future of our children. Over the past year, I’ve heard more and more about noise ‘music’ from students and I’ve seen many of them change since getting into this ‘culture’. The changes have all been for the worse.

One student I worked with in particular was suspended earlier in the school year for wearing a t-shirt by the noise ‘band’ called 8 bit porno, which depicted a nude woman on the front of the shirt. I spoke with him to find out where he obtained the shirt and he explained it was from a performance in Flint, Michigan in which the band Wolf Eyes also performed. From his explanation and some internet research, many of the bands on your site have performed in our area and I was shocked to find out that the Wolf Eyes are even from Michigan themselves! I spoke with the students mother and explained what I found. She felt we were overreacting at the time. I feel it is important for you to have this resource on the internet so I can point parents to this.

“Hello there, i stumbled across your site today and was delighted to see that i’m not the only one who thinks that today’s society, unless *something* is done by people like ourselves, is rapidly heading towards doom and destruction. And as you so rightly point out, part of that corrosive destruction is coming from the music industry and ‘rebellious’ musicians.

This is very close to home for me as recently i was cleaning my 14 year old’s bedroom (after he promised me faithfully he would do it before going off to his friends for the weekend!) and i noticed a rather offensive album cover from a band calling themselves -EDITED-. Only slightly concerned at this point, i put it in the CD player and was unbelievably shocked at the content.

Songs praising the self-destruction of oneself through drink and drugs, championing intercourse with farmyard animals and underage sex with grandmothers, encouraging abuse of the police, ambulance and fire service personnel, and perhaps most shocking of all, a song telling the listener to strip all the skin from their parents and use as a room dividers. It’s sickening title was ‘Giving Mum and Dad Something Useful To Do’. Is that not incredibly twisted and warped and sick? ……….. (she goes onto more details of the record, its too offensive to print here. ugh )………

Sickening. Even now, i feel like my soul has been soiled having come into contact with it.

Naturally i confronted my boy on his return and eventually got him to tell us where he had got it from and it turns out that this album “-EDITED-” isn’t produced by any big music company, but that it’s been produced somewhere in London and New York (there’s no address or contact numbers on the cover) and that it’s only available in ‘underground scenes’ to those ‘in the know’. According to him, he bought it in a Safeway carpark late at night from someone called ‘-EDITED-’, who, if you ask me should be locked up and hanged and locked up again for distributing this shameful pornography to children in dimly lit supermarket carparks.

Personally i believe there is a big company behind it, but they are too afraid of the repercussions from outraged parents to publically admit that it is/has been produced by themselves.

That’s all really, i just wanted to share that with you, and alert you to this insiduous NOISE and PEVERSION that appears to be doing the rounds. If you could warn other parents about this particular monstrousity (i’m doing my bit here by raising it in all my PTA meetings at my boy’s school) then that might help stem the tide of filth.

Please please keep up your good fight, and know that there are a whole lot of people that are right behind you.

The Conspiracy. I will focus on some of the biggest offenders conspiring to destroy the souls of our youth.

Wolf Eyes- With their alcohol fueled beevis and butthead antics, Wolf Eyes signed a major label deal with Sub-pop Records (which poses as an independent label) in 2004 and is probably the most famous American noise act. While some label them as a ‘just a more noisey Nine Inch Nails’, they are proof that noise is no longer a passing fad (just like rock and roll). They tour around the world playing their brand of rebellion at extremely loud volumes and encourage there fans to break laws and are hell bent on destroying civilization. One look at their “song” titles says it all: Stabbed in the Face, Human Slaughterhouse, Sandpapered Eyes… etc.

Sonic Youth - this group is probably the most famous of all the noise bands, while many in the ‘noise community’ feel that Sonic Youth are not a technically a ‘noise band’. Even tho SY’s songs fall within the definition of pop they do constantly promote and have noise bands open for them when they tour. Sonic Youth (like Radiohead and Andrew WK) are what i consider “gateway bands” for the noise agenda. Lead guitarist Thurston Moore wields power of influence within the music industry and what he says is not overlooked, being a father of a teenage daughter he should wake up to his wrongs!

Whitehouse- probably one of the most offensive noise bands of all time. I cannot even go into details about this band, they are the most misogynist hateful offensive band around. If your child has any Whitehouse CDs, stop everything and please think of getting them professional help (i suggest Military School over therapy). They started the subgenera of noise called Power Electronics or Harsh Noise, which i might add is embraces the most degenerate aspects of human behavior.

Merzbow- Merzbow is the most well know of the ‘Japanese noise’ bands. Japanese noise uses a mix of technology, sex, nihilism, occult themes and violence to further their aims. While Merzbow may not be as overtly offensive in content (as say C.C.C. who is a japanese band comprised entirely of prostitutes and porn stars who have sex with audience members on stage) the ‘music’ is extremely void of any musical content. Merzbow is Anti-God.

Radiohead- a lot of people keep asking why i included them into this list, but they are what i consider a ‘gateway band’, my son was started out by listening to Radiohead. By presenting a plastic commercialized pop product this act has effortlessly slipped under the radar of a lot of watchdog groups. They use alot electronic noise and noise imagery within compositions and it may on the surface seem harmless but once our kids get hooked on dissonance they will only go further down the road for a bigger kick. If your child only has pop records and a Radiohead record, it might not be too late to save them…. please remove Radiohead CDs from their music collection.

Prurient- This young noise act has quickly risen to the top of the bottom, all part to a very dangerous presentation of the most offensive aspects of noise: S+M (sado-masochism) imagery, violence, escapism, and classic american good looks. But that is where the ‘fun’ ends, the music is just completely beyond listenable, it by far is some of the most awful noise music i have ever heard. Live shows are reported to be nothing but a drugged out ritualistic trance frenzy of microphones feedback. :(

Andrew WK / To Live and Shave In Los Angeles (T.L.A.S.I.L.A.) : Maybe you remember that catchy little hard rock song “Party Hard” from MTV a few years back from musician Andrew W.K. and/or wonder why he is included here. Andrew W.K. is one of the most cunning hoaxes executed by the noise agenda, while the truth about the exact details of this matter have been deliberately blurred, this is known: Andrew WK acted for years the role of a simple party hungry pop rocker. But reality shows his pop music was nothing but an orchestrated manipulation to get a foot into the mainstream. And after his connections were established within the mainstream he started touring with TLASILA a most vile anti-authoritarian noise band (also features Sonic Youth member Thurston Moore) Further research shows that an Andrew Wilkes-Krier recorded with Wolf Eyes and released noise music under the name AAB before making his “big break”. Keep an eye on this one.

Lightning Bolt- While this band primarily plays classic progressive rock (Like Rush) it does use noise elements in its music. But the real danger occurs at ear splitting volumes, using huge stadium styled amplifiers in small packed clubs. And get this: the drummer is deaf because of the extreme noise levels they play at. This band is dangerous because unlike most ‘industrial’ styled noise bands, they entice young audiences with a garage rock puppet look and sound. Also special with this band is that they are straight-edged, which means that they don’t do drugs, smoke, eat sugar, or engage in pre-marital sex. Because of these unique elements they can possibly push the noise agenda to a different audience, and even tho they are on an independent label they have been featured in Rolling Stone, and Spin Magazine.

Emil Beaulieau - Is a somewhat of a dangerous man, he runs a noise record label/store called RRR which has been around for 20 years. For some odd reason teenage boys are very attracted at this heavyset balding waste of a human soul, and any listen to his “music” will only bring more of a question mark as to how he has worked himself so firmly into this conspiracy. Rumour has it he was mayor of a small town and was involved in child sex scandal, but my research has not turned up any information like this.

M.A.N IN THE NEWS:

10/20/2004 Metro Times ” Earlier this year, when Wolf Eyes toured with Sonic Youth for three weeks, they met up with proof that they were doing something right in the form of M.A.N. — Mothers Against Noise — a group of middle-aged mothers picketing outside a California venue. Quote John Olson :“We pulled up to the venue in San Diego and there’s all these women outside with M.A.N signs. And (Sonic Youth’s) Thurston (Moore) was like, ‘That’s not for us, dude. That’s for you.’”

少就好……

昨天是第30期水陆观音。人不多,大概20来个,都坐在里面这间。吧台基本没有坐人。老外居多。买过唱佛机的居多。希望今年夏天也不要来太多人,社交的,谈恋爱的,寻找北京新酷去处的,太多会影响演出。

所以昨天气氛非常好。守望和沈静调音,调着调着就开始演出了。长,慢,迷幻,很认真地排练过,严谨大气,噪音迷人。minimalism,kraut rock,industrial,noise/ambient,instrument rock/post rock,tribal beat……从致敬的角度看,还很有些明亮开阔的太空摇滚情调。守望的新帽子俨然未来大腕,去纽约会很受欢迎,忙碌的沈静身上有独立姐姐的样子(现在是独立妹妹,再过些年吧……)。

老赵开头的铁观音3重奏:少,慢,轻松,细腻,甚至有点抒情。武权继续用718改进的软件。我主要用音叉和正弦波,delay效果器,i-pod的素材,接触式话筒。一点一点调节的感觉很舒服。越来越electro-acoustic improv的感觉。观众很安静,玩音量玩细节效果很好,大家都舒服。

最后又玩了一段,老赵的古琴和电tampura盒子很美。35赫兹的正弦波在心弦上荡漾。而且终于有了心情玩磬(这个东西太典型化。像手铃、碰铃、磬、古琴、埙这类音色杀伤力大的乐器都不好随便玩)。包括老羊高峰5个观众。可惜太晚,守望和沈静都走了,不然会更有趣。
