Eugene尤金
来自加拿大多伦多的尤金·马替纳克从60年代末就开始玩音乐，那时他还是一个高中生。70年代他开始学习电子乐并毕业于皇家音乐学院。作为音乐制作人，他两度获得过著名的Juno奖，制作过40张以上的专辑。近年来他活跃在加拿大的即兴音乐、电子原音领域。2004年来到北京居住。
Eugene Martynec has been involved in all facets of music making since high school in Toronto in the late 1960s. He performed and recorded with pop groups Bobby Kris and the Imperials and The Kensington Market, where he develop an interest in record production. He studied electronic music, composition and orchestration with Dr. Samuel Dolin at the Royal Conservatory of Music where he received 2 scholarships to study electronic music (1970-1975). His interest in record production resulted in a Juno Award in 1981 for his work with Bruce Cockburn and pop group “Rough Trade”. He has produced over 40 record albums from 1969 to the present. Eugene has been involved in all facets of commercial music writing, producing and performing. His main interest now is performing live interactive electroacoustic music and the use of alternate controllers for music making. The following is list of activities using the unique program “Midi-ax” in live performances over the last five years.
1. 1991-formation of Toronto Post Modern Music Ensemble to air music using live interactive music processes.
2. 1992 to present:
Concert performances with pipe organist Eric Robertson at St. Paul’s Anglican Church.
Concert performances with classical guitarist William Beauvais including a performance of “Terror and Erebus” with actor Carolyn Guillet at Artword.
Concert performances with Canadian Contemporary Music Collective at the Music Gallery.
Concert performances with The Glass Orchestra.
Concert performances at Mixed Med as well as music for “Testimony”, a radio play.
“Two New Hours” with the Glass Orchestra and William Beauvais.
First CD release Fall 1996 of solo interactive electroacoustic music “Silica”.
Eugene Martynec uses “Midi-Ax”, a Midi software instrument written by Emile Tobenfeld of DR.T that allows one to improvise form and content of pre -orchestrated electroacoustic music by manipulating a computer mouse in real time.

2004年： 5月开始接触网络，并接触到姚大钧的“前味咖啡”和前卫音乐网电台、“杂音网络”及“2003北京声纳”与“2004广州声纳”，开始制作实验电子音乐与噪音
2005年： 多首实验电子作品在台湾好吃音乐社、music365、前味咖啡、台湾滚石可乐网站传播；6月创建独立厂牌——非喉造声

荷兰Bifrons基金会策划的第2套DVD短片。每张DVD邀请一个乐队或音乐家（第一套包括坂本龙一Ryuichi Sakamoto）创作音乐，然后交由一位视觉艺术家（第一套包括小野洋子Yoko Ono）和一个广告制作公司，分别配合制作一部短片。第2套收入了fm3 + 窦唯 + 颜峻的后海录音片段《观音观》，由德国艺术家Anna & Bernhard J. Blume和广告机构International分别制作短片。

一个有关声音、音乐、艺术和环境的系列交流活动。
每周二晚上，免费入场，室内演出，室外赋闲。
北京第一个和惟一的向实验/即兴音乐家、艺术家开放的交流平台。包容来自不同背景的表演者，鼓励自由即兴和实验探索，力图促成更多的合作，激发表演者和观众的想象力，并混淆他们之间的区别。它延续观音唱片的宗旨——追求精神性的实验音乐和影像，追求表演和环境的沟通统一，探讨、促进新音乐的生态环境。
除了常规演出之外，还提供workshop、影像放映和艺术讲座。

kwanyin is name of a popular buddha in china, kwan(guan2) means view, observe, watch, etc. yin(yin1) means music, sound, sonic existence, information, etc.
it’s the only and first open plate for experimental, improvised musicians/artists who live or transiently in beijing. as the idea from kwanyin records, it offers opportunities for artists from different background who now (or in the future) be into free music, i.e. abstract and spiritual sound, field recording mix, noise, as well visual art, body performance, etc.
also combined with film screenning, lecture, workshop and special party.
